Meet Danny Dean

My name is Danny Dean, and I’ve been a Sign Artist-Painter for over 40 years. I founded Dynamic Signs Design with the mission to create impactful, colorful, and beautifully crafted signage that makes a lasting difference in people’s lives.

Our Sign-Making Philosophy

Whether painted by hand, sandblasted, carved, gilded, or created with the assistance of modern design software, every sign we make is crafted with care, skill, and a deep passion for visual communication. I specialize in combining traditional techniques with innovative design elements to deliver unique, eye-catching results.

Our Story

Originally from Iowa, I moved to the beautiful town of Rice Lake, Wisconsin in 1998, where I established my custom sign shop. Inspired by the area’s natural beauty and thriving local community, I saw endless opportunities to serve resorts, cabins, businesses, and churches with custom-designed signage.

I’m especially passionate about dimensional sign-making—combining art, shape, space, color, text, and texture to produce signs that are not only functional but also works of art. Every piece is designed to stand out with versatility, creativity, and precision.

Family and Community

I’ve been blessed to share this journey with my wife, Sherry, for the past 27 years. We have three sons, a daughter, and six beautiful grandchildren. Our family and community are at the heart of everything we do, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve Rice Lake and the surrounding areas.

As they say, “A picture speaks a thousand words”  and we wholeheartedly agree, and is confirmed in our Galleries.  So many times I have had a multitude of customers come to me already absolutely convinced to trust me completely, because normally folks would be very cautious, full of questions, doubts maybe, as the creative process developing an effective sign can be very detailed, with the endless techniques and materials, and colors involved. There can be so much that goes into it.  But after seeing the website, and so many beautiful examples of work we have provided in our Galleries, most people are 90% convinced they came to the right place to see their custom designed sign dreams come true!
